Kids say the Kutest things ! Part ll

Kids say the " KUTEST " things : Part ll

A little boy was overheard praying: "Lord, if you can't make me a better boy, don't worry about it. I'm having a real good time like I am."

Six-year-old Angie and her four-year-old brother, Joel, were sitting together in church. Joel giggled, sang, and talked out loud. Finally, his big sister had had enough. "You're not supposed to talk out loud in church." "Why? Who's going to stop me?" Joel asked. Angie pointed to the back of the church and said, "See those two men standing by the door? They're hushers."

Pink Saturday

Today is Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly, her link is on my sidebar, drop by to see other great pink posts ! Thanks so much to Beverly, for being such a gracious, sweet host !

Ribbons have been used to express solidarity on the part of the wearer with the identified cause since the early to late 20th Century. Pink Ribbons are used to express support for women (and men) who are diagnosed with breast cancer.

My pink post today is in memory of my precious mother, who lost her battle to breast cancer 3 yrs ago last month. I miss her dearly. It is also in honor of my dear Aunt Sue in IL who is now fighting this ugly disease, she was just recently diagnosed.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among American women, after nonmelanoma skin cancer. Over the past 50 years, the number of women diagnosed with the disease has increased each year. Today, approximately 1 in almost every 8 women (13.4%) will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. Breast cancer is the second-leading cause of cancer death in women after lung cancer -- and is the leading cause of cancer death among women ages 35 to 54. To all precious ladies fighting this battle, I pray for a cure.

What a wonderful God we have...who so wonderfully comforts and strengthens us in our hardships and trials. And why does he do this? So that when others are troubled, needing our sympathy and encouragement, we can pass on to them this same help and comfort God has given us. 2 Cor. 1:3-4

Kids say the "Kutest" things !

Kids say the "Kutest" things !

"My dad is the boss. . .until Grandma comes over. Then he’s just one of us."

A little child in church for the first time watched as the ushers passed the offering plates. When they neared the pew where he sat, the youngster piped up so that everyone could hear: "Don't pay for me Daddy, I'm under five."

A little boy was in preschool and one of the students became ill with chicken pox, the teacher asked if anyone else had ever had chicken pox. He raised his hand and said, "No, but I've had Cocoa Pops."

Bitter are the tears of a child: Sweeten them.
Deep are the thoughts of a child: Quiet them.
Sharp is the grief of a child: Take it from him.
Soft is the heart of a child: Do not harden it.
Pamela Glenconner

"Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it." Mark 10:15

"Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken" (Ecclesiastes 4:11-12).

Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Romans 12:15

Family Time

Matthew, Josh and Chambliss ~ Easter picture in front of one of the camp azaleas. I LOVE these kids ! ( They probably prefer I not call them kids )
We had such a blessed Easter Sunday. We had a touching Easter service at church. After church we had lunch at our house. Chambliss made some delicious chicken and dressing and I baked a ham, a southern Easter lunch. We had planned a egg hunt at Mamaws house for the afternoon but the weather didn't allow for it, we had more rain. We enjoyed KFC for supper and had a great family time.
Every Easter we do a Easter Egg Decorating Contest, we had some really creative eggs this year, it was hard to cast a vote for the one you liked best, they were all so good ! Pictures of some of them are posted above, weren't they cute ?

These are some pictures of butterflies Cham took, Matthew and I have
always loved the beauty of butterflies. A favorite butterfly poem of mine ~

Learn To Fly, Like A Butterfly

The air is full of butterflies.
Flying so effortlessly in the sky.
No weight they carry, to hold them down.
Never a worry or a frown.

And yet not long ago, they were...
A crawling little... caterpillar.
I wonder if they knew they'd be...
A beautifully butterfly, flying so free.

They do not question how long they'll live...
But are happy with each day God gives.
They trust that he will always provide,
whatever they need...to survive.

So learn to trust...and fly away,
from cares and worries of today.
See how beautiful life can be...
Rely on Jesus, to supply your needs.

Rain brings Rainbows~

We have had so much rain here the past week and more expected tomorrow. We must remember the reason for the rain, without the rain we would have no rainbow.

Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth. Genesis 9:16

My hosta is getting prettier each day and the azaleas are blooming.
" April showers bring May flowers "

Matthew is keeping Josh and Chams little ones this weekend. He is really a great dogsitter. He kept his Aunt Lisas a few weeks ago while they were out of town. He is like the dog whisperer, all animals take to him so quickly, he has such a sweet, kind spirit they immediately know. The picture posted is of him holding Bitsy and Lillie Belle. They also have Ricky, but there wasnt room for him in the chair ! Our dogs, Gracie and Rocky have been a little jealous but always enjoy new play friends.
To all my family and friends, have a blessed weekend !
Dear God,
Blessed are You, loving Father,For all your gifts to us.
Blessed are You for giving us family and friends
To be with us in times of joy and sorrow,
To help us in days of need,
And to rejoice with us in moments of celebration
Father,We praise You for Your Son Jesus,Who knew the happiness of family and friends.
Amen.

John 14:1-2 (King James Version)
1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
