Here comes the sun....

How beautiful is the rain ! After the dust and the heat,
In the broad and fiery street,
In the narrow lane,
How beautiful is the rain!
~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
We've had rain here all week.
I love the rain but am ready for a little sunshine.
Yesterday we had tornado warnings and severe storms in the area.

Praise God he watched over us !
The sun is trying to peak through the clouds today,
such a beautiful sight !

Have a very blessed weekend dear family and friends !

Today is Tempt my Tummy Tuesday, to enjoy more great recipes or join in click the link on my sidebar. Ladies, thanks so much for hosting !

A friend recently gave me this recipe and hers were great, I dont have a picture because I havent made them yet, but plan to do so very soon.

Easy Buttery Biscuit Rolls

1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margerine
1 cup sour cream
2 cups self-rising flour

* Note, she said they are best in the mini muffin cups.

Preheat the oven to 350.
Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium low heat, whisking until completely melted. Add the sour cream and flour, and mix lightly. Spoon the batter into miniature muffin cups (do not grease), filling each one to the top.
(You may add a tablespoon of dried herbs, such as basil, thyme, if you wish or 2 tablespoons of fresh herbs.)

Bake for 15 minutes. Serve immediately.

This recipe is very quick, easy, delicious, and makes about 2 dozen mini-muffins. ENJOY !

This is a picture of a beautiful spider lily that bloomed yesterday in our front yard. I am amazed everyday at Gods work.

"God writes the gospel not in the Bible alone, but on trees, and flowers, and clouds, and stars."~ Martin Luther

The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; Song of Solomon 2 : 12

Dear God,
I am impressed by all Your ways! When I think of things You have done, I am awestruck. When I contemplate Your nature, I am humbled at my inability to comprehend You. So I embrace what I cannot fully understand.
Lord, I thank You for the salvation You have given me as a free gift. I have done nothing to deserve it. This gift was freely bestowed upon me the moment I turned from my sins and believed in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is not by my works or efforts that I am forgiven, saved, and born-again, but by Your grace.
I praise you today ! Fill me with Your Spirit today that I might glorify You, I pray, in Jesus' Name, Amen.

"Do not bring a detestable thing into your house or you, like it, will be set apart for destruction. Utterly abhor it and detest it, for it is set apart for destruction." Deuteronomy 7:26

Make your house, a home of love For all, who enter in to see
A place where lots of love and caring
Are always, first priority,
Make it a Place of Peace
With Rest for all of you
And keep the devil out
Even if, that's all you do,
Make it a place where from the world You all, can get away
And leave the world out Don't let it in, I say,
And make it, a place for you
A Sanctuary, True A place of Love and Peace and Joy
And Rest, In Jesus, for all of you.
~Richard Dottery

A walk down memory lane ~

Today I am also participating in Wednesdays Walk Down Memory Lane. The link is on my sidebar, thanks so much Lynnette for hosting !

My oldest son, Josh started his new job this week. We are so very happy for him and so very proud of him. I had prayed that he would not move too far away and my prayer was answered. He and his precious wife, Chambliss will be moving to Northwest Ms, about 2 hrs. from us. His years of college have paid off, he has a great job with the State of MS as a conservation fishery biologist. He has always loved the outdoors and wildlife, so I know he will really enjoy his new career.

I have an eighties baby and a nineties baby, he is my eighties baby, wasn't he adorable ?
It is so hard to believe how time flies by and your baby becomes a man, husband and one day a parent himself. Praise God for his blessings. Thanks for walking down memory lane with me !
Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men. Psalm 107 : 31

Praying that you have a safe, blessed holiday ! America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves. -Abraham Lincoln

One Nation Under God
One Nation Under God we live
Think about all some had to give
We the people share freedom’s life
In a world of ever present strife
Be grateful to those who keep this true
Warriors of our red, white, and blue
They're trained by those of great skill
Honed to perform, so strong their will
They show what love is all about
They’ll fight for us, there is no doubt
Defending bravely what we are
No holding back each heartfelt star
Highly praise these men and women
Giving thanks time and again
Those in uniform will always be
The golden pride of this country
~ Roger Robicheau

If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. John 8:36 KJV

Lord I come before You, desiring to provide thanks.Father, I have so much to be thankful for, things unseen and seen, that You have done in my life.Lord, mostly I am thankful for the relationship that I have with You.Lord, You initiated this relationship, by what Your Son endeavored to accomplish, paying the price for my sin, redeeming me. Thank you that I am free indeed. I pray your blessings upon our country, troops, and leaders, guide and direct them. Amen.
